The College is organized as a nonprofit charitable trust, an organizational form which the founders felt would better facilitate and encourage a vibrant Christian academic community. Too often the corporate form of organization become impersonal, and loses the original vision as outside interests and concerns are brought to bear. As part of this ideal, while the College is non-profit (no profits accrue to any private person or entity), it has chosen not to seek tax-exemption under the Internal Revenue Code. The College seeks to remain free to pursue its unique vision of education without being beholden to federal policies that might conflict with or compromise that vision. . . .
